I just couldn't wait to share this recent email I got from a Tabman Cafe Tableer. Jacob writes, Jacob (Arlington, VA) I've been having a great time digging out stuff from my notebook and this is the latest example. Years ago I used to do magic on the streets of New England and I always wanted something like this to perform on. That was before I settled down and built my own shop but now you can have one and for not much money.
The price of the kit is $335 plus shipping (please inquire if you want your table kit shipped overseas), complete with everything you need. The table comes pre assembled. I've left my own personal table unfinished and I like it that way. Use it as is or sand it and stain and varnish it for an even better looking table. Pictured is the table assembled of white wood.
The table itself as shown weighs just a little less than 10 lbs. The tray also acts as a brace and it is very solid. You will love how it all goes together. The legs actually are attached to the table top not just resting on a stand. You can pick the table up by the top and move it if need be. Also, you can use the top by itself it you wanted to do that too and it breaks down in under a minute and sets up just as fast. I've been working on this idea for quite awhile and now I'm very happy with the results so now I'd like to thank my friends at Genii Magazine and especially The Magic Café for their advice on table height and top dimensions, portability, practicality, and even the name. Thanks guys, it's named for you.
![]() There are several options available too like a nice black canvas carrying case for $85, a Casino Green Mali cloth surface with volara table padding ($60), assembly as well as several wood options (Cherry and Walnut) too. Please drop me an email for details. Click here to email the tabman. Thanks again for your support and patronage over the last 20 something years. |
